I'm italian and a few years ago i used to go to lots of raves / free parties in my country, spain, uk and germany...the ones i went looked very different from the bits shown here of US raves ÷ me and my friends usually went for the vibe, bc the music usually is gross to say the least ... fun of course but gross. Here in Eu, If you want to hear quality techno or electro ( i'm not mentioning house on purpose, not my thing) you go to clubs, i still go to clubs when there are djs/artists i like.
